This makes no sense. The Taliban were fierce opponents of the drug
producers (though I wouldn't be at all surprised if they also took some of
the money generated). With the Taliban it is already being reported that
drug production has gone way up. If the secret cabal really wanted to gain
mor control over the drug trade, this doesn't seem a smart way to go about it.
