Though I don't know Marvin Minsky personally, it may be that the dismissive
nature of his comments towards you are simply part of his personality. I
recall a very similar situation at Extro-3 between Minsky (as a speaker) and
Michael Butler (at the microphone). In fact, if memory serves, Minsky's
comment was exactly the same: "Get this man away from the microphone." In
other words, I wouldn't take it personally.
