I got it too a few months back. I took a look at their site, and
thought "So, how do you do quality control here? Why should I want to
read what somebody else writes just because a lot of people have
looked at it?". The built in feedback loop would favor inflammatory or
very popular subjects; my interests are so different from the
mainstream that the site would be next to useless for me. While the
idea of participant-written news/discussion sites has great potential,
I seriously can't see how this site would be revolutionary. What is
really needed is a somewhat more clever relevance/reputation
management system.
