I must have been about 10 or 11 when I read Arthur C. Clarke's Profiles of the Future,
I loved it, I never knew any book could be that good. I still have a fondness for the book
so I found it interesting that in a new edition Clarke says " Damien's book [The Spike]
will serve as a more imaginative sequel to the one you are reading now." High praise
indeed, congratulation Damien.
