In the Feb issue of WIRED there is an article on the Inventor of
the Baygen, "FreePlay" radio. He is currently working in areas
related to this, essentially working on special shoes that will
generate electricity from the energy used to walk around. Add the
right chip and you have a wearable.
This is not a new idea, several members of the MIT wearables list
have discussed this previously.
