Hi, I'm new to this list but not to lists in general. I've found that
limiting posts on a daily basis has worked best. Typically the limit falls
around 7 plus/minus 2. :) Yes, it is quite a coincidence.
    As far as limiting quoted material I can see where you're coming from
John, but sometimes it is beneficial to the understanding of an
argument/discussion to have quotes from previous messages. While, like you
said, paragraph after paragraph of quote can be irritating, I don't see much
in terms of pragmatics in limiting lines of quotes.
