Worldwide education.

Michael Saylor is heading the right way with his on-line university, but
seems a little over ambitious when huge numbers of people still can't even
read.

What is needed is a basic general educational curriculum in multiple
languages under a GPL type license imbedded in a rugged, self powered
slate computer cheap enough to give away. Not strictly necessary but
perhaps just as revolutionary would be cheap wireless conectivity for the
slates.

Remember that education is really about more than just skills. Whoever is
first up with something like this has the opportunity to influence and
shape the values of an entire generation worldwide. This is a power I
would like to see prempted by the Good Guys while they still can. Such a
fundementally subversive and revolutionary project could be a nightmare in
the wrong hands..
