Yes, I've seen other reports to this effect in more scientific
circles. Its clearly something that the military has to work
on (you can't send your troops someplace where Ebola occurs
out without credible defenses, and we may always have the
problem of sending people to assist with natural disasters
such as the Mozambique floods).

Unfortunately, as one speaker at the Contact conference this
weekend showed, the "hype" about there being no defense against
Ebola, is a popular meme that can be used as arguments for all
sorts of things (such as arguing why humans should colonize
space...).
