I happened to turn on an old shortwave receiver the other day and got three
Europpean-based newscasts in a row. In all three the Echelon scandal was
THE hot item and got detailed coverage, with interviews and analysis.
Haven't seen a single mention in the local papers or broadcast news in the
U.S.
