No, think of all the work we would get to avoid catching up with the
other SIs in the galactic club.

Does make you wonder though -- if there *is* a way to "crunch" the
universe, the SIs would certainly have an incentive to keep their
spys watching you and *preventing* you from upending the game board.

Of course if universes are "by" design, then its a pretty sloppy
design if an "accident" someplace can end the game.
