Mark the 16 of July 2009 as a day to go cry in your beer. We may end up
being lucky if we don't see the Chinese landing on the moon by then.
(Not that I have anything against the Chinese -- but I'd be frustrated
if they have a technological capability that we no longer have -- it
would not paint a pretty picture for democracy v. communism). Robert

Don't ruin good beer Robert, cheer em on. We are
all one species. And don't worry about communism,
it will die a natural death soon. The world has
always before it the two cities, Beijing and Taipei:
same gene pool, same climate, not far apart. Main
differences, one controls all that land and all
those people, but is all screwed up. The other is
free and prosperous. It's a lesson a six year old
    child couldn't miss.

I hope the Chinese are successful. It is inevitable
that the free world would stop going to the moon
anyway: no money to be made there. Yet.
