Locus is the monthly insiders' zine about science fiction. In the August
issue, they have interviews with sf novelists Charlie Stross (a former
poster to the extropians) and Alastair Reynolds:

Both explain that they are not especially exercised by the Singularity
notion. This in itself seems a considerable breakthrough in memetic
penetration: there are many other candidate topics they don't bother saying
    they're not interested much in.
