    Just a small terminological boggle:

    Rafal says that many transhumans are `rationalists regarding the mind'. I
    think what's meant is `empiricists regarding the mind'. Traditionally in
    philosophy, if I remember correctly in my discussions over a guttering
    candle with Rene, rationalists were philosophical idealists who argued that
    the source of mental activity and awareness must be a non-material
    reasoning soul.
