I read _Merchants of Immortality_ as soon as it was released. It's a
great read. Hall tells an engrossing story of the people and politics
involved in stem cell and embryo research. He provides a huge number
of interesting details on the history of biotech and of Geron and
    Advanced Cell Technology in particular.

My one complaint about the book is that Hall pays only scant attention
to genetic interventions to slow the aging process, which is where the
real action in the field is.

So I think it's a fantastic book, well worth reading, but it's not
    really about life extension.
