Here is a URL for a brief education on the history of SPAM
and how viruses are contributing to the problem.

    http://www.lurhq.com/sobig.html

I'd urge everyone to try and educate a few of their friends,
family, coworkers, etc. on this topic.

Perhaps we should have a "monthly" -- take some people to
lunch and educate them about SPAM day.

According to a recent article in MIT's Tech Review over
50% of the email traversing the net is currently SPAM.

Interesting when you think about it -- bandwidth reduction
caused by the distribution of SPAM may limit the bandwidth
required for the development of an amoral AI -- but at the
same time the tactics being used by the spammers seem to be
accelerating the probable development of such amoral AI(s)...

    R.
