Interesting coverage last nite on Oz ABC TV science program Catalyst.
Numerous abnormalities are showing up at x2 or even x3 times background in
test tube kids. I was grumbling to myself as I started watching, thinking
that if you make people conceive when their repro system is saying no,
there's a fair chance their DNA was munged to start with. But it is more
complex than that. Seems that the nutrient gloop they grow fertilized eggs
in varies, has been known to do odd things to mice and other test critters,
yet little consistency standards have been set.
