So, given the amount of discussion regarding employment in the U.S. in
various industries, I'd like to solicit ideas and suggestions from any
extropes in the know.

I may very well find myself in the U.S. within a few years, so what are the
prospects for an average Joe like myself? No college, 10+ years in a
technical role (mainly test and failure analysis), some onsite customer
interaction (and travel). I'd likely find myself of the East Coast
(probably in the VA area).

Any good ideas? An don't say corn or tobacco :)
