Skipping Meals Might Offer Health Gains

    http://www.sciencenews.org/20030607/food.asp

"The [intermittently fed] mice are not calorie restricted, and yet we
see changes in their physiology similar to those obtained with calorie
    restriction,"

"it may be healthy to have reduced meal frequency."

As one who was doing casual caloric restriction
from long before I even knew it had a name, this
study on skipping meals agrees with my intuition.
Fasting a day every now and then cleans out the
system, and has no bad health effects that I know of.
