Thanks, Greg. We need a little rain on unrealistic fantasies. I just
turned 40 last month (oh, that explains it!) and have a great fear that we
are wasting our time on trivial matters, bad science, and unrealistic
schemes instead of doing anything important.

However, if people would like to start brainstorming on a more realistic
extropian project costing a few million dollars less.... But first, let's
set some goals instead of jumping on a boat. What was the boat supposed to
accomplish? Fun? A vacation spot? A tax haven? An independent country
with our own freedoms? A haven for scientific research? A money-making
venture? A chance to get us closer together for interaction? Surely there
are cheaper and more realistic ways to do any of these things.
