I was startled the other day to learn that Victoria, Australia and Texas
were teamed up in a similar if more targeted endeavor.

The Victorian State Premier, Steve Bracks, has just opened AGT Biosciences
Center for Human Statistical Sciences, an Oz-backed research center into
obesity, diabetes and depression in my other home town, San Antonio, TX.
They are said to have the world's most advanced genomics supercomputer.
