    Ja, this is the biggest mind change I have had from
    reading extropians. I once thought the singularity
    was a pipe dream. Now I consider it inevitable. I
    probably do not hold to the same time scale as the
    hard core types, but something like a singularity
    must happen, which makes a Star Trek future quite
    unlikely. Roddenberry was far too pessimistic.
