Russell has come up with quite the idea: divorce!

Sounds like a great idea for the U.S. too! All our conservatives
can move to the Rocky Mountains and points west, and all the
liberals east of the Mississippi. (We can retain a column of
    border states for the wishy-washy.)

I'm not really sure that the liberals would be able to make a
go of it on their own, however. It seems to me that all those
on welfare (whatever their politics) would make tracks east at
the first hint of such a divorce. But I think that I personally
would pay for the cattle cars to move east the downtown San
Francisco protestors who practically shut the city down today.

P.S. For what it's worth, I am guilty of all the following:

    1. Starting political threads
    2. Responding to them
    3. Going off topic in any way whatsoever that suits me
       (except lapsing into verse)
    4. Involving myself in extremely esoteric threads about
computability, run time, and identity that bore most
       readers to tears
    5. Provoking threads whose entire purpose is to explain
*why* I personally am a troll
    6. Having utterly no regrets about any of the foregoing :-)
