What a silly question: of course we should. No rational person
can deny that violence is sometimes necessary, especially in defense
of life and liberty. And no Extropian would ever foreclose the
technological options open for its use based on some emotional
discomfort or dogmatic belief that war is always wrong.

Of course, that still doesn't tell us much about whether to
advocate it in /this/ situation, where any claims of "defense"
are at best a stretch. But the idea that one should simply
never go to war is not one worth taking seriously.
