    Unfortunately the lack of any good reason whatsoever for this
    invasion hasn't stopped it moving toward actuality so far so I
    don't see that this will. Certainly there is not a shred of
    real evidence that Iraq has anything to do with bin Ladin and
    company. So how would this slow down the drive toward this
    catastrophe?

    I am an even worse optimist. I keep hoping the US government
    will realize this is a pointless atrocity and back away. I keep
    thinking that maybe they will actually listen to the people at
    home and abroad who are vehemently against this.
