To be fair, this article is a little hyped. Berger's research is
extremely cool, but all they've done is built the chip. They haven't
shown that it actually works when connected to neural tissue, let
alone that it works in a live animal, let alone that it works in a
human.
This is a very cool area of research, but sadly Berger's team doesn't
have that much to show yet.
