There is too little evidence to draw any conclusion. I am sure your
conclusion is that they were tortured to death. I could just as easily
say that they were killed by fellow detainees to either keep them from
talking or to punish them for disclosing intelligence info to US
interrogators. Neither one of us has any basis to jump to either
conclusion. We also do not know if they received the injuries that lead
to their deaths while in US custody or while in the custody of foreign
    nationals prior to handover.

Keep in mind that any individual who is an illegal combatant, as any
member of al Qaeda is, is subject to summary execution under the Geneva
Conventions. This is international law, not just US preference, US
    unilateralism, or US cowboying.

An illegal combatant is also free of protections against torture and
any other protections which legal combatants are entitled to under
    international law.

My suggestion to any transhumanist who thinks they want to make a
tangible difference is to first consider going to Bagdad and staging a
protest against Saddam's regime. Go to Karachi and stage a protest
against bin Laden. Go to Pyongyang and stage a protest against Kim. No?
    Why not?
