Another possible drag on the timeline that I can imagine can be vaguely
described as:
Current Governments are inherently irrational, including agencies.
Some current legislation is irrational.
Many current laws are irrational, as well as aspects of the judicial system.
A instantiation of an SAI would be seen as a direct threat to the entrenched
powerbase of current governing entities and politicians, as well as the
judicial system.
reacting to this threat on the status quo, attempts to promote SAI will be
considered attacks upon the state and established coercive entities, and
deemed a sort of "Anarcho-Tech".
