    someone wondered if
" we can come up with a viable plan to mobilize
against this FukuKass mindset" Yes - in fact there is one - GET RID of BUSH
& FUKU KASS GO WITH HIM

It seems there has been a subtle swing in the list away from supporting
Bush's war. People are starting to realize that war abroad means economic
and liberty deprivation at home. I think Ashcroft's latest moves to expand
the unPatriot act are finally getting people to wake up. The moves against
ANY cloning are also good wake-up calls. If Ashcroft & Bush have their way,
you could be summarily stripped of your citizenship & deported to, get this,
a place that has NO government (i.e. Guantanamo Bay or some god forsaken
hellhole island gulag) for merely belonging to an organization that BUSH
retroactively deems to be unamerican. Hey, maybe Extropians will make the
grade - the idea of immortality is truly threatening to the religious
right - which also hates the idea of cloning, debates about the
'relationship between "soul" and "brain" and "mind" etc. Oh, so some of you
may say we should run away to another country - nix that - these fascists
want to be able to track you anywhere you go - and make cloning illegal on a
global scale. Why not some asteroid or another planet? Damn, either this is
the 23rd century or the list should be named NWNormal.
