Can we perhaps settle on "Brinite"? To my ear, "...ista"
implies a political faction based on wanting to put or keep
the eponymous "..." in power, while "...ite" simply refers
to those who espouse his political philosophy. I shudder at
the thought of Brin actually having power; but he is the one
who has been most eloquent in laying out the cause. I am
also a Friedmanite anarchocapitalist: but in that case, I
would also quite happily be a Friedmanista if he ever chose
    to seek power.
