    I was trying to save myself an old fashioned visit to the law library.

    People with better Googling skills than me or people with a knowledge
    of French law would be able to tell me what the actual standard of
    proof is for a murder trail in France.

    It may be "beyond reasonable doubt" or it may be "beyond all
    reasonable doubt" or something else. But the French would definitely
    have murder trials so there must be a standard of proof.
