Mike Lorrey noted:

<<I might also point out that in the past few years of luddite protests
and sabotage against technology and globalization, we have seen a
dovetailing of the interests of the fascists and the socialists. This
is not just my observation, but that of many mainstream pundits. It is
not unreasonable to associate the two groups, which seem to have gone
so fare around the bend in their respective directions that they have
finally met up on the other side.>>

The cause celebre' for the Luddites-Greens-Hippies. is surely the Palestinian
cause. There have been spy reports of neonazis and jihadist muslims meeting
in the 3-corner region of latin America. Politics and well as liberation
movements have very strange bed-fellows, indeed. The nice thing about the
Bush adminstration is that at least one gets to see who are your friends and
who are not. This shake-out, especially in western Europe, will likely, end
Nato or diminsh it to utter insignificance. The USA is not likely to turn
isolationist, but seek new alliances in south asia and west africa, either
militarilly, comercially or both. And so it all moves on....
