Take what you read in AvLeak with a grain or two of
salt. Their recent article on the V-22 Osprey program
claimed the USMC plans to buy 28 simulators for the Corps.
Since I work at the company building those sims and had
heard nothing of the sort, I thought I'd ask the program
manager if this was so.
His response was, "Really? The inital buy was
twenty-eight...can you send me a link?"
This doesn't mean you can't believe everything you
read there. I plead guilty to reading AvLeak with too much
credulity. It's my weekly fix of techno-porn a business
expense. But remember their reporters aren't psychic.
