I guess my real point -- which I'm too polite to make half the time -- is
that we (you, individually and collectively) need you get off our (your,
individually and collectively) asses and do something about it. I am trying,
slowly and painfully, balancing my efforts with learning how to do this task
and trying to get rich so I can do it faster.

There are mountains of money, literally mountains, sitting on the sidelines.
They can be toppled in avalanches one way or another by the actions of a
comparatively small number of people, shouting loudly. Now if these small
number of people are not going to step forward from the broader
transhumanist community, where are they going to come from?

My point being, we can't just wave our arms and hope. That's denying our own
responsibilities for our own futures. We need to *do*. Slow be damned -- of
course it's slow. But never and dead is a damn sight slower.
