Science Daily is reporting that Baylor College is
starting to sequence the 270 MB honey bee genome.

The most interesting thing that is missing is the impact
this may have on understanding certain aspects of aging.
Bees are one of the few species where one member (the queen)
lives up to 13 times longer than the average worker and
even longer compared to a drone.

That is certainly pulling a rabbit out of the hat!
