I wonder if the principles make sense taken in isolation,
because although you say the emphasis is on society and
the community I don't see the principle of perpetual progress
as written, having a particularly strong social or communal
emphasis at all.

Indeed arguably, quite to the contrary, those things which
do involve interactions with others, politics and culture are
mentioned merely as limits to self-actualisation.

Granted the word "our" is plural. But its not clear that "our"
perpetual progress is to in any way to be constrained by the
interests of society or the polity generally. As written, ours
could be the narrow interests of a clique or a cabal.
