Just got a new issue of The Futurist - a publication of the World Future
Society.
I think it's the best issue I've read in years. They are moving from
discussing
traditional social topics, such as demographics and environmental and urban
problems and projects (that should belong more to the history of Futurology
than
its cutting edge) to newer and more high-tech projects.
The issue has a *very good* article on Idea Futures, explaining its history,
rules of Foresight Exchange and possible implications of the whole thing.
Also, some articles on info-topics such as Smart Cards. General discussion
of technology and information explosion and their implications starts the
issue,
though the parts I've read there would cause laughter on this list...
Well, they've done at least something this time. I wonder how many new
people will join the Foresight Exchange now...
