Babylon 5, opener sequence:
Year 1: "The Babylon project was a dream given form."
Year 2: "The Babylon project was our last, best hope for peace."
Year 3: "The Babylon project was our last, best hope for peace.
It failed. <WHAM WHAM WHAM> In the year of the Shadow War,
it became something greater - our last, best hope...
for victory."
Year 4: "It was the year of Fire. The year of Destruction. The year
of Rebirth. It was a new age. It was the end of history.
It was the year everything changed."
Now I don't know whether or not there's even going to *be* a fifth
season - it's hard to imagine how, even if they say there's going to be
one. The pace *accelerates* and *accelerates* and things get *stranger*
and *stranger* all the time - it's hard to imagine what next year will
be like if this keeps up.
Babylon 5 - Singularity.
