yet another quasar weirdness

Has anybody heard something new about these disturbing recent findings of
optical quasar alignment with some of our neighbour galaxies (some 10 of
them?)?

Either this is a fluke, to go away as sample size is to be expanded, or
this is truly Big News. Object with intrinsic (whatever that may mean)
red shifts? Tiny, fast, bright galactic ejects? Either this is a yet another
weird natural phenomenon (truly, we have seen more than enough of these
in the past), or this might be the first instance of LGM large-scale
engineering. I keep my fingers crossed.
