I am wondering how many people on this list use browsers now which
support basic HTML styling commands. Eudora Pro 3.0, Netscape, and IE
mail readers support them and I am wondering now if I am able to use
bold, italics, and underlining in my text in appropriate moments without
people complaining they're seeing a message with codes in it.

If your reader can view HTML commands:

This should be bolded.

This should be italicised.

<underline>This should be underlined.

</underline>I can add
<bigger><bigger><bigger><bigger><bigger>D</bigger></bigger></bigger></bigger></bigger>rop
characters.

<paraindent><param>left,out</param>I can indent.

</paraindent><center><paraindent><param>out</param>I can center.

</paraindent></center><paraindent><param>out</param><flushright>I can
right justify.

</flushright>I can even add pretty
<color><param>8080,0000,0000</param><bigger><bigger><bigger>p</bigger></bigger></bigger></color><bigger><bigger><bigger><color><param>0000,8080,0000</param>s</color><color><param>8080,8080,0000</param>y</color><color><param>0000,0000,8080</param>c</color><color><param>8080,0000,8080</param>h</color><color><param>0000,8080,8080</param>o</color><color><param>8080,8080,8080</param>d</color><color><param>c0c0,c0c0,c0c0</param>e</color><color><param>ffff,0000,0000</param>l</color><color><param>0000,ffff,0000</param>i</color><color><param>0000,8080,8080</param>c</color>
<color><param>0000,0000,ffff</param>c</color><color><param>ffff,0000,ffff</param>o</color><color><param>0000,ffff,ffff</param>l</color><color><param>0000,0000,8080</param>o</color><color><param>ffff,0000,0000</param>r</color>s!

</bigger></bigger></bigger></paraindent>I suggest we switch over to this new format if we're ready and wanting to enhance our communication as well as more stylized messages. Imagine the .sigs you could create?!?

Text is art.
