Yes, there are Extropians in your area. The best ways to find them are: (a)
come to the monthly dinners just a few miles away here in Marina del Rey;
(b) Join the ExI-LA e-mail list to keep in touch with local dinners,
meetings, parties, and occasional outings; (c) Join Extropy Institute and
either put a notice in the Exponent newsletter that you want to meet people
in your area or I can help you get in touch.
I'm posting this to the list because Extropy Institute is looking to
encourage the formation of more local groups and gatherings, whether merely
dinner or lunch get-togethers or discussion groups. Currently these are
listed in the newsletter. John McPherson in San Diego has been gathering
information on Extropians who want to meet. (He himself is looking for
extropically-minded folks in the S.D. area.)
