Someone reminded me today that x-tians took over the pagan holidays. Bede
mentions this as well. It was a policy of the church to pronounce
traditional, native holidays as being x-tian holidays as well. This
helped them turn the tide.
Perhaps extropians (or whoever) could learn from this and appropiate
national holidays as their own.
