I've seen that discussed under the subject, "Post-Scarcity Economics" (try
Altavista, my DNS is acting up so I can't get URLs very easily right now).

I considered making a web page on that topic. That is, I considered it until
Ken Kittlitz suggested the perfect title for it, "The 'Counting Your
Chickens' Page."
