Though this is the extropian list, I would restrain from publishing exact

Since we are at that: the largest nonnuclear explosion in the human
history (at BASF in Ludwidshafen?), was caused by a large amount of
pure ammonia nitriate, where about 1 kT detonated, causing a very large
crater and very high bodycount. The explosion was primed by dynamite
charges which were meant to loosen the baked-together powder.
