Actually not just there, I've noticed that in a lot of places there is people with extropian thoughts, or characteristics, a lot of people in the linux community for example has these traits, the same applies for libertarians, or communities that study psychedelic compounds such as MAPS.
Actually I've seen members of this list in the other lists I'm also a member.
those are
AntiM$, Lin mailing list, MAPS, and Liberator online.
also a lot of extropians share common trends, like being atheists, having libertarian beliefs, etc I've always been curious of our list demographics :)
