Allen Tough asked me to post this on his behalf (he is not a subscriber to the SETI list, but I have copied all the posts to him):
I appreciate the interest in my ideas over the past few days. Thanks for such a wide range of views and ideas.
Anyone who wants to seriously study the ideas behind the web-based Invitation to ETI can do so at
http://members.aol.com/WelcomeETI/8.html http://members.aol.com/WelcomeETI/4.html http://members.aol.com/AllenTough/strategies.html. And remember that even the most conservative SETI scientists agreethat ETI is likely at least 100,000 years beyond our technology. The deep implications of that are worth thinking about for a few minutes.
