Er.. please read my post again. You applied the reverse logic to what I said.

Essentially:

• being passionate about your work (i.e. following your dreams) is what (I think) is most important in our lives

(And how many people are truly following their dreams?)

• if you are passionate about your work, degrees take on a special meaning
• if you are passionate about your work, then products, writings, compositions, degrees, software, seminars, papers, paintings, (whatever your field is), are a natural by-product. I.e., you are expressing your dream in a tangible form, and it shows in the quality of your output.
