Normothermia at several hours sans anticoagulants/antioxidants makes perfusion spotty to impossible, brain damage even not taken into account. Sure, in an emergency everything should be attempted, but you must be aware that the prognosis deteriorates rapidly with each hour elapsed. I guess the autolysis process is nonlinear as well, and pretty quick towards the end.
