At Extro3 Eric Drexler held a speech where he discussed how to be
"cautious and conservative". He showed that cryonics was the cautious
and conservative thing to do, and that much of nanotechnology is
conservative. So maybe this is the real explanation: this list is
filled with cautious and conservative people, while the incautious
radicals are out there... :-)
