If nothing else, to increase diversity. (Why do people struggle against
extinction of species that nobody cares about?) Contact with foreign human

Define "dangerous".

I don't think any terrestrial animal is anywhere near as durable as those
"Aliens". A really smart tiger still dies if you put a bullet in a vital
organ.
