Come on, Harvey, aren't you carrying this old fogey stuff a little too
far? I remember Perry Metzger sending out invitations shortly after the
list was created, and it surely couldn't have been as far back as 1989.
Is this one of those stories like how we had to compose our list messages
on punch cards and deliver them to each other by carrier pigeon sent
through driving snow?
